Da Yan Shi Fa is an ancient way of fortune-telling based on I Ching. The original method is using 50 yarrow stalks, which are replaced by 50 wood sticks in this shrine.

This shrine can be fully disassembled and packaged into a small bag. Each part has a small package to stay when not in use.

The structure has three layers and each of them functions as part of fortune-telling, along with 50 wood sticks.

Making and Structure

Every metal piece is saw by hand with the paper reference by laser cut to make sure the fitting. All the parts are hand-made besides the wood sticks are laser cut.

The structure is based on shrine (Architecture) of Taoism and the pattern is from derivation of Ba Gua: first layer-Liang Yi; second layer-Si Xiang; third layer-Ba Gua; inner part-Tai Ji.
